Pat Skipper is Bay Area real estate’s best kept secret.
A Bradley agent since 2002, Pat quickly developed a loyal clientele, and for her success she partly attributes her advanced degree (Masters degree in Journalism) and work experience in the field of journalism.
“A good reporter has to be able to read people, to get to know them quickly, to be able to process complex information, to remain professionally dispassionate, and to develop trust, all the while staying in the background. These are skills that can be of great value in any business transaction, particularly one as potentially stressful as buying or selling a home.”
Pat finds that intimate knowledge of Marin’s neighborhoods is a major advantage and is the gateway to providing the highest caliber of personal service.
“For me most assignments come down to positioning, marketing, and negotiation. Just as in writing a good story, things start with knowing your clients and their needs, understanding the details with piercing clarity, communicating within the larger community, and being able to represent clients’ interests in buying and selling situations. This is most often easier talked about than accomplished.”
Pat is an active member of the community at large. She is an active hiker and cyclist on Bay Area trails and has a track record as an activist on behalf of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
In her spare time Pat has written a novel and an adapted screenplay, and around the house is known for her ability to bake 30-minute brownies in just 20 minutes.
